Panitia MPLS SMKN 1 Sumenep yaitu Slamet Irawan mengungkapkan, pakaian adat Nusantara memang sengaja dihadirkan, salah satunya untuk memupuk rasa cinta terhadap tanah air. Dengan begitu, para siswa baru mampu merefleksikan rasa nasionalisme mereka.
Tidak hanya itu, penggunaan pakaian adat Nusantara juga menjadi upaya SMKN 1 Sumenep agar para siswa baru bisa saling akrab satu sama lain.
“Selain sebagai refleksi cinta tanah air, kami juga mendorong agar para siswa bisa akrab satu sama lain pada akhir MPLS,” ungkapnya.
Tidak hanya pakaian adat Nusantara, seluruh siswa baru juga diminta untuk mengikuti fashion show.
