Indonesia and Saudi Arabia have shown their deep concern for the humanitarian crisis in Gaza resulting from the ongoing Israeli military offensive. This concern was demonstrated during the official meeting between Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto and Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman Al Saud (MBS) as part of Prabowo’s state visit to the Kingdom. Both countries have agreed to enhance coordination in delivering emergency aid and broader humanitarian assistance to the people of Gaza.
In the official joint statement released by the Saudi Press Agency (SPA), it was highlighted that both nations are committed to providing ongoing humanitarian aid and support for recovery efforts in response to Israeli aggression. In addition to addressing the Gaza situation, Saudi Arabia and Indonesia also underscored their shared commitment to strengthening cooperation in maintaining international stability and security. They pledged to collaborate in promoting regional peace and bolstering global resilience.
The meeting took place at Al-Salam Palace in a cordial and friendly atmosphere, showcasing the strong strategic relationship between the two countries. Images released by SPA depicted President Prabowo and Crown Prince MBS engaged in discussions, with the flags of Indonesia and Saudi Arabia displayed in the background.
