SUARA INDONESIA, BLITAR – A tragic incident occurred to residents of Blitar City, East Java. It turns out that a grandmother, child, and two grandchildren became victims of a fatal accident in Dawuhan Village, Kademangan District, Blitar Regency, on Saturday (01/06/2024).
The Head of Law Enforcement Unit of the Blitar Police Traffic Unit, Ipda Anggit Purba Sukma, said that as a result of the incident, the child, grandmother, and grandchildren died on the spot due to severe injuries. Meanwhile, the other grandchild is still under medical care.
“Originally, these four people were riding a Honda Beat motorcycle on the public road of Dawuhan Village. Then, the vehicle swerved off the road and collided with a pick-up truck and a truck,” he said.
It was explained that after the evacuation process, three victims suffered head injuries and were declared dead when taken to the nearest health service or house. As for one victim, a toddler, they only suffered minor injuries but still required medical treatment.
“Based on the crime scene investigation conducted by the police, the estimated material losses from the fatal accident that occurred in Dawuhan Village, Kademangan District, amount to Rp 2 million. Three motorcycle riders died and one person suffered minor injuries,” he added.
He added that until now, all evidence such as motorcycles, pick-up trucks, and trucks including the drivers have been taken to the Blitar Police for further questioning. And, this case is already being handled by the Blitar Police Traffic Unit. (*)
